Mum to three fabulous children, my career path to cake maker wasn’t an expected one, in fact, not one that had be planned in any way at all. I left school without a clue where my life would take me career wise and chose to read something I loved at university, choosing to study English literature with French at Manchester. From there I bizarrely started my career as a chartered accountant working in corporate tax and qualifying at Deloitte & Touche in London. I realised pretty fast post qualification that this really wasn’t for me so I moved on to Walt Disney Television where I worked in finance…..and watched a lot of movies! It wasn’t as glamorous as I thought it would be so once my daughter was born I stopped working to be a full time mum. Then came along a second daughter and a son so a career went out the window!

The cake making really started out because of my kids. Always being quite creative and loving being in the kitchen, making their birthday cakes was an excuse to get busy…and I got busier…several years ago I built my website and the rest, as they say, is history! I now get to always be around my kids whilst working pretty much full time from home doing something that I am passionate about. Who could ask for more? I love what I do and I’m lucky enough to have gone from strength to strength. I have huge drive and commitment so challenging myself daily is a huge incentive and I just want to be better and better. Actually, I want to be the best at what I do! So the challenge never ends 🙂
